Statement from the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta (PIHABF) Organizing Committee

MANILA, Philippines – The organizers of the longest running balloon event in Asia – the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta (PIHABF): “A Weekend of Everything that Flies,” maintains its decision not to hold the 19th PIHABF this year, but instead, prepare for a bigger event scheduled for February 12-15, 2015.

Worldwide Walk

Worldwide Walk is set on February 15, 2014, 6:00am, at the Quirino Grandstand, Manila (for Metro Manila registrants). It will be simultaneously held with the different key cities of the Philippines and around the world.

The Worldwide Walk is a walk for a cause event for benefit of those affected by typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) in the Visayas region of the Philippines. All proceeds of this event will be used for the rebuilding efforts in the said area. It is organized by the Felix Y. Manalo Foundation of the Iglesia ni Cristo.

To those who were not able to register, you can still join the walk! Your mere presence in this WORLDWIDE WALK will make a difference. Just visit the nearest Iglesia ni Cristo locale in your area to say your intention of joining this event to be given a waiver form and other instructions or check out the INC Worldwide Walk Facebook page.
