October is Museums and Galleries Month

(Updated October 2014)

The National Museum and its branches—Museum of the Filipino People, National Art Gallery, and the Planetarium—opens its doors to museum-goers and all curious people for FREE! Yes, it is free admission all days of October.

If you are a student, use your sembreak to take time to go back in history with your classmates. It will be the most productive lakwatsa you will ever have.

Visiting museum is also good break for the busy professionals. Relinking yourself from the past will help you refresh your mind and forget about the worries of the corporate world.

The displays and the historical relevance of every piece of artifacts etc. inspire people to appreciate the past and continue to do better now and in the future. It gives you the sense of involvement in your community.

What’s more, it makes you smarter. Getting to know the history of the past gives you more things to tackle in your chitchat with friends and family. It is also a fun and effective way of learning especially for children.

Bring your kids, nephews and nieces, your senior citizen parents (to exploit their discount privileges), or your partner and make the tour your family day.

The National Museum is open Tuesdays to Sundays, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Free admission on Sunday, year-round.
